Sweetwater Counseling specializes in counseling services for ages 0-19. We also see adult clients.

Because children and adolescents often do not have the words to express themselves as adults do, we use evidence-based creative approaches and techniques like play therapy.

Our practice values Person-Centered or Child-Centered counseling meaning that we focus on the client with empathy, compassion, and understanding. Typically, our counselors will use a combination of approaches as appropriate for the client. These additional approaches may include Child Centered Play Therapy,  Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Counseling. Our counselors tailor sessions to the needs and goals of each client, individually.
